It isn't at all. QTEs are probably the most challenging issue for a non-gamer but it gets easier if you both play in the same room (instead of doing online co-op). On the bright side, the game does not penalize you too much when you lose/die so it can be a great experience. Hope you enjoy it!
With it, both of you can go through the whole game without losing quality, and you only need one copy of the game :) looking to buy the game, I understand that this is a co-op only game and requires the origin client to play [even with steam], but can my friend play and still have the same quality of play, like the would be owner i.e. me.
Tell him to enable notifications from the setting in EA app. It worked for me, as I also wasn't getting invites. Try to run it as admin too if the above doesn't help. ( Don't know if this matters though) My friend was the host and he was lauching the game from steam, he had to close the EA app from running in the background. Don't know why, try
